Harmanpreet Randhawa

Harman is an artist working across sculpture, writing, drawing, installation and performance. Oscillating between the domestic and the sensual their practice deals with the complexities of longing, belonging and desire through an autoethnographic lens.

In 2023, Harman was an artist-in-residence on Modern Art Oxford’s Boundary Encounters Programme. Their residency culminated into a performance piece supported by Grand Plan Fund presented at the gallery in May 2024. They have published their writing in Art Review Oxford’s Ecological Grief and Precarity Issues. Currently, Harman is supporting researcher Mattia Troiano with the implementation of a drawing-based method at the School of Geography and the Environment, University of Oxford investigating community values and inequities in accessible urban green spaces in Oxford.

They work four days (30hrs) a week and their salary is paid at the Real Living Wage.
