Wheatley Fellowship APPLY NOW!

We are delighted to announce that Birmingham School of Art and Eastside Projects are now seeking applications from contemporary visual artists for the annual Wheatley Fine Art Fellowship.

For the first time the Fellowship will connect the School of Art with Eastside Projects and culminate in a solo exhibition in our Second Gallery in September 2019. The fellowship offers the selected artist time and resources to develop new work and ideas alongside staff and students at Birmingham City University’s School of Art, supported by a £9,000 tax-free stipend.

In the second semester, which runs between January and May, the Fellow will work with a group of second year undergraduate students on a project negotiated between the artist and staff at the School, they will also give some tutorial support. Teaching will not exceed one day per week with no teaching commitment in the first semester.

The Fellowship lasts for 10 months, commencing in October 2018 and culminating in the Eastside Projects exhibition in September 2019.

Application Closing Date: Monday 16 July, 5pm

Interviews will take place on Monday 30 July 2018.
