Freya Dooley selected for the ESP Members Show
Freya Dooley’s imaginative, performative, impressive proposal for our ESP Members Show wowed us all and the Cardiff based artist has been selected to make a solo exhibition to take place in March 2019.
In the coming months we will work with Freya as she develops a multi-channel sound installation, incorporating moving image, activated with live performance which will oscillate in and out of control of broken narratives, individual and grouped voices: the solo and the chorus.
Writing is at the centre of Freya’s practice, which combines literary and pop culture references to create fragmented monologues, soundtracks and auto/biographical semi-fictions, and explores the voice as something in-between sound and language, thought and body. Her show at Eastside Projects will be her most ambitious project to date.
We can’t wait.
