This practical workshop, led by voice coach Kate Terris, will help you to develop your skills and increase your confidence when presenting in all situations from soundbite to formal talks and interviews.
The workshop will be flexible and responsive to participants, beginning with a discussion around individual strengths as presenters, and areas we would like to improve. Kate will give practical voice, performance and presentation tips and will help you:
- Become more vocally aware
- Create and use simple structures when presenting
- Understand the importance of breath, as well as resonance, range, articulation, and energy
- Free the voice in order to become more confident about expressing your ideas
Be prepared to use your voice and have a bit of fun.

Kate Terris is a highly experienced voice coach working in the business and education community, improving confidence and presentation by enhancing vocal and performance skills. Kate concentrates on maximising her clients vocal and creative potential and confidence to become more effective communicators in all areas of their life.
Kate trained as an actress at London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art and has worked in film, theatre and television successfully for over 35 years. She is Head of Voice at The Artist’s Theatre School in Ealing. She has an MA in Voice from Central School of Speech and Drama and a Licentiate in Speech and Drama plus a Certificate in Dramatherapy from the Institute of Dramatherapy.
Kate has worked for many years as voice coach in the corporate, private, political and public sectors, where she has a large and diverse client list. She also works with children and young adults at The Artists Theatre School and with post graduate students at the Royal College of Art, Royal Academy of Arts, and University of the Arts.
