Winter Art Fair

2 to 3 December 2016

This lively two-day event saw the gallery filled with affordable artworks, artist books and editions, music, homemade refreshments and will showcase independent artists and self publishers from the West Midlands and beyond.

An eclectic gathering of both local and national artists, curators and publishers, the Winter Art fair celebrated and promoted a diverse range of artistic practices and was the perfect place to snap up unique Christmas gifts and affordable works of art.

The fair launched during December’s Digbeth Friday Friday and featured limited edition prints, books, small sculptures, paintings, zines, an art raffle and lots more. Contributors included include Rope Press, Two Queens Studio, Simon Bayliss, Julie Kane, Cathy Wade, Grand Union Gallery, William Cobbing, students from Birmingham City University Art & Design, Richard Stenton, Rafal Zar, Sarah Silverwood, Recent Activity, Dale Hipkiss & Jonathan Graney. Black Pleasure bar was be taken over by Foodsketz, a project by artists Alison Clare & Cat Smith, who provided homemade food, tea, cocktails and conversations and music was be provided by Queerzone3000.
