Want to create your own technical drawings for production or generate photorealistic renders?
Fusion 360 is the first 3D CAD tool of its kind, connecting the whole product development process into one cloud-based platform and providing all the tools you need to go from digital design to fabrication.
This short course combines online learning with expert technical support. Completely practice-led, you will learn by building real-world objects, moving through the process step by step, at your own pace, with the help of video guides.
The course is structured around three live group sessions led by Senior Technician Chris Hay who will be available throughout to answer any questions, and support you as you develop your skills and knowledge, so you don’t have to spend hours searching YouTube for the answers!
As the course builds you will become comfortable using professional tools and navigating the software. The key skills demonstrated within the video sessions will enable you to start applying digital design tools to your own prototyping workflow.
WHO IS THIS FOR?
This course is delivered by STEAMhouse and designed for makers from all disciplines and sectors who want to develop their digital fabrication skills. What is STEAMhouse?
STEAMhouse is a space to experiment, test and develop new knowledge. At the project’s heart are five key principles conversation, exploration, collaboration, openness and newness.
Open since early 2018, the first phase of STEAMhouse was created by Birmingham City University in partnership with Eastside Projects and funded by the European Regional Development Fund and Arts Council England. It invited original business thinkers to collaborate and innovate, engaging with hundreds of SMEs in the Greater Birmingham & Solihull Local Enterprise Partnership area.
Phase 1.5 launched in April 2020 and is focussed on supporting businesses – which includes self-employed, sole trading artists – to access and explore the potential of digital technologies to help develop businesses, artworks, practices and creative services.
