Funding your Project: Working with Arts Council England

From National Lottery Project Grants to Developing your Creative Practice, Arts Council England is looking for organisations, artists, events, initiatives and others to apply for its funding and help it achieve its mission of great art and culture for everyone. In this informal workshop Bryony Windsor, Relationship Manager (Visual Arts) at Arts Council England, introduced the different funding streams available and offer guidance on how you can make a strong application.
The session included time to discuss projects or ideas you want to get off the ground, and answered questions about accessing funding, and Arts Council England more broadly.
Bryony Windsor joined Arts Council England (ACE) in July 2018 as Relationship Manager, Visual Arts, Midlands. Bryony has a background is visual arts, specialising in craft and design which she studied at university. Prior to joining ACE, Bryony was Head of Exhibitions at the National Centre for Craft & Design (an Arts Council NPO) and Assistant Director at Scotland’s oldest commercial gallery, The Scottish Gallery, Edinburgh.
STEAMhouse is a centre for creative and collaborative innovation. Based on Digbeth High Street, ten minutes walk from New Street Station STEAMhouse has 15,000 sq feet of space with a range of spaces including co-working, project spaces and the Production Space – a substantial, new makerspace with equipment and technicians to support prototyping and product development in digital, wood, metal and print.
