Family Workshop: 500 years

Just 50 years ago, Chelmsley Wood was ancient woodland. What kinds of creatures, people and wildlife will be wandering around Chelmsley Wood shopping centre in 500 years time?

In this workshop the participants imagined what kinds of animals, buildings or beings could inhabit Chelmsley Wood in 500 years.

Will the forest return?

Can you imagine vast rivers flowing through the high street?

Will there be a new native species of wildlife living in shopping centre?

Or will machines, robots and transformers call this place home? 

The children dreamt up their ideal future inhabitants of Chelmsley Wood and then became them! They designed and create masks, hats, & antennae!

We thought big, we thought future, we thought wild!
