{"id":24742,"date":"2024-02-17T00:59:45","date_gmt":"2024-02-17T00:59:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/eastsideprojects.org\/esp\/?post_type=project&#038;p=24742"},"modified":"2026-03-11T22:55:04","modified_gmt":"2026-03-11T22:55:04","slug":"go-west-2","status":"publish","type":"project","link":"https:\/\/eastsideprojects.org\/esp\/projects\/go-west-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Go West Away Days"},"content":{"rendered":"","protected":false},"featured_media":24744,"menu_order":0,"template":"","artists":[],"venues":[],"projectCategories":[531],"class_list":["post-24742","project","type-project","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","project-categories-project"],"acf":{"category":[531],"project_title":"","start_date":"20231123","end_date":"20240718","opening_date":null,"opening_time:_start":"","opening_time:_end":"","event_details":"","venue":false,"artist":[],"curator":[],"booking_link":"","main_text":"Across 2023\u201324 a group of ten EOP'ers joined members of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.spikeisland.org.uk\/our-community\/spike-island-associates\/\">Spike Island Associates<\/a>\u00a0(Bristol) and artists connected to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/g39.org\/\">G39<\/a> (Cardiff) on a series of Away Days to explore each other's contexts.\r\n\r\nIn the early days of EOP we collaborated with Spike Associates and WARP at G39, on a series of visits and exchange projects including\u00a0<em><a href=\"https:\/\/eastsideprojects.org\/esp\/projects\/building-up-not-tearing-down\/\">Building Up, Not Tearing Down<\/a><\/em>\u00a0micro-residency (2009),\u00a0<em><a href=\"https:\/\/eastsideprojects.org\/esp\/projects\/soon-all-your-neighbours-will-be-artists\/\">Soon All Your Neighbours will be Artists<\/a>\u00a0<\/em>publication (2011),\u00a0<em><a href=\"https:\/\/eastsideprojects.org\/esp\/projects\/go-west\/\">Go West<\/a>\u00a0<\/em>residencies (2013),\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/eastsideprojects.org\/esp\/members-activity\/flatfile-a-demonstration-of-possibility%e2%80%a8\/\"><em>Flatfile<\/em><\/a> projects (2013), and shared Away Days in <a href=\"https:\/\/eastsideprojects.org\/esp\/projects\/away-day-bristol-3\/\">Bristol<\/a>,\u00a0 <a href=\"https:\/\/eastsideprojects.org\/esp\/projects\/cardiff-away-day\/\">Cardiff<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/eastsideprojects.org\/esp\/projects\/away-day-to-manchester\/\">Manchester<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/eastsideprojects.org\/esp\/projects\/save-the-date-for-birmingham-away-day\/\">Birmingham<\/a>.\r\n\r\nOne of the artists who took part at that time was Natasha MacVoy \u2013 whose project <a href=\"https:\/\/eastsideprojects.org\/projects\/natasha-macvoy-eop-members-show-2023\/\">U&amp;I<\/a> was selected for the 2023 members show.
