Away Weekend: Glasgow International

Saturday 28 April – Sunday 29 April

Glasgow International is back, and this year’s themes explore the cyborg, artificial intelligence (AI) and avatars. Join us for a trip into the unknown, as we take our smart phones to the streets and navigate our way around 70 jam-packed venues.

The festival features over 190 artists, many of whom are based in Glasgow, who cumulatively represent over 30 countries. Key exhibitions will take place at Glasgow Museum of Modern Art, Tramway, Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum, Centre for Contemporary Art, and The Modern Institute. Alongside the exhibitions we will visit exciting commissions in unexpected places such as the Glasgow Women’s Library.

The weekend will be a great way to meet other ESP members, explore Glasgow’s art scene and see some world-class art.

What’s on offer:

We can cover accommodation for Saturday night in the Eurohostel in central Glasgow for 10 ESP members. You just need to cover your own travel – when booked in advance fares from Birmingham should cost between £30–£70 depending on your time of booking. Reduced price train fares are made available 12 weeks before travel.

A full schedule for the visit will be released closer to the time, but we suggest travel times will be …
