Away Day: Liverpool Biennial
Saturday 15 September

We are teaming up with the associates at Castlefield in Manchester and going to visit the Liverpool Biennial on mass. Liverpool based artist and curator Emma Curd will guide us around the biennial visiting some of the key venues and meeting other artists and organisations along the way.

This years Biennial has over 40 artists commissions that respond to the context of Liverpool by addressing the theme of ‘Beautiful world, where are you?’ The programme invites artists and audiences to reflect on a world of social, political and economic turmoil.

This is a great opportunity to meet artists from other cities and see what is hot in contemporary art at the moment. ESP will cover return train fair for ten ESP members to join the trip.

Emma Curd is an artist, researcher and ‘critical friend’. Currently, working as a Post Graduate Researcher at Liverpool School of Art and Design (LJMU) where she studies alternative interpretation programmes in contemporary art institutions;. Since 2015 she has worked with The Royal Standard, firstly as an artistic director and more recently as a studio member.

To book a place email amelia@eastsideprojects.org with a short expression of interest by Thursday 30 August.
