Sign up for a 1-2-1 session with artist Des Hughes.
1-2-1’s give ESP members an opportunity to discuss work, ideas, practice or careers with an established artist or curator in a 40 minute session either at Eastside Projects or your studio/workspace. To apply send a short statement describing your work, and why you would like to meet Des with 5 low res images, or a link to online material, to email@example.com.
Des Hughes’ sculptural practice reconfigures our rapport with the everyday by staging banal ready-mades next to handcrafted replicas of commodities, and three-dimensional caricatures of familiar things.

Recent Solo Exhibitions include ‘Stretch Out And Wait’, Hepworth Wakefield, (2015); ‘Everything’s Inevitable’, Manchester Art Gallery (2012); ‘Thems Please’, (Curated by Measure) 76 Chatsworth Rd, London, (2011); ‘Endless Endless’ Frame, Frieze Art Fair, (2010), ‘Small Collections’, Nottingham Contemporary, (2010) and ‘Des Hughes and Richard Hughes’, Michael Benevento, Los Angeles, (2008).
