Grief Must Be Love with Nowhere to Go is a collaboration between Chris Alton & Emily Simpson. Having each been through a significant loss in their mid-20s, they found the English vocabulary for communicating experiences of grief and bereavement to be lacking. THE ARKHE- Jaz Morrison

Jaz has been in the process of exploring culture building for Black British folx, that makes space for ancestral wisdoms, community care and honouring states of liminality. Jaz has curated a series of events, workshops and gatherings that bring Black communities together to interrogate these ideas further. As we take the journey into creating (meta)physical spaces and Temporary Autonomous Zones for Black British people, we hold onto the question: what could life - affirming Black British culture look like as a reclamation and ongoing exploration? What skills, principles and ancestral wisdoms could we take with us onto the Arkhe?

Big Works on Big Themes- Crow Dillon-Parkin

Crow's work is about the articulation of embodied experience from a feminist perspective. As an artist, mother and ex-athlete, the physical body is centred in everything she does. The themes in BIG range from motherhood, disability and medicalisation, ageing , the climate emergency, globalised misogyny, neo-colonial capitalism and genocide. Women's bodies are disproportionately affected by these factors.
