Matt Parker | Artist in Residence

Artist in Residence at The National Museum of Computing

Sound artist, composer and ESP member Matt Parker has begun a month long residency with The National Museum of Computing at Bletchley Park. The residency, which is supported by the Arts Council England, Grants for the Arts Scheme and The British Library, will see Matt produce an audio archive that will reflect over 70 years of computing history; starting with the worlds first digital computer, the codebreaking Colossus through to hulking mainframes of the 1980s, to present day server racks. The archive material will be lodged within the British Libraries Sound and Vision archive as well as provide Parker with material to produce a series of new compositions based on the sounds of computing.
