Away Days: Leeds & Wakefield
17 to 18 July 2019
Hit the North!
Visit Leeds, see the Yorkshire Sculpture International, fringe events, visit galleries, artist-led spaces and projects and find out all about the art-scene from artists and curators based in the city.
We are working with artists and curators based in Leeds and Wakefield on an exciting programme for both days. It will include visit to EastStreetArts, The Tetley, Henry Moore Institute, Leeds Art Gallery and Hepworth Wakefield, Yorkshire Sculpture Park and The Art House in Wakefield.
Yorkshire Sculpture International is the UK’s largest dedicated sculpture festival, a series of exhibitions, international commissions, events and learning programmes not seen on a scale anywhere else – with sculpture in its broadest forms on display across four major galleries – the Henry Moore Institute, Leeds Art Gallery, The Hepworth Wakefield and Yorkshire Sculpture Park– and outdoors in Leeds and Wakefield.
This two-day trip will also be a great way to meet, and get to know, other ESP members.
ESP will arrange and cover one-night accommodation in a hostel in Leeds on 17 July. Please note that we will be staying in shared rooms. ESP members will have to cover their travel and meals costs. If you are planning of going by car we can put you in touch with other interested members to share travel costs.
To sign up email firstname.lastname@example.org with a short text explaining why you want to come to Yorkshire, and what you hope to get out of the trip. Please also let us also know if you have a car and are happy to drive.
