A Vorratskammer (Pantry) Lunch

In a change to our monthly Lunch Club, in addition to welcoming you to join us for lunch there will be a special artists-travelling-larder to share. Artist Kathrin Bohm and and the Eastside Projects team will be collecting food for this special meal along their journeys between now and then, picking up provisions in Madrid, Liverpool, Cardiff, London and Paris. During the meal the origins of the food will be announced and discussed.

Vorratskammer (Pantry) saw the members of stock a larder for 12 months to feed the 8000 visitors of a festival on culture and sustainability at The House of World Cultures, Berlin in August 2011. There will be the opportunity to see the Vorratskammer book and edition produced by , and the documentary film will be screened before and after the meal. is an international artists’ group founded in 2003 by Kathrin Bohm (UK), Wapke Feenstra (NL) and Antje Schiffers (D), and focuses on the rural as a space for and of cultural production. The collective aims of are informed by the members’ collaborative and participatory practices and the fact that they all come from small villages.
