EOP is Eastside Projects’ artist development scheme.
EOP supports artists, curators and art writers to develop work, ideas, careers and community through a responsive programme of events, opportunities and projects. Eastside Projects and EOP members work together to collectively imagine a dynamic programme of activity for artists, artist-writers and artist-curators at all stages of their careers. Join and become part of a practice-led network and benefit from Eastside Projects’ regional, national and international contacts and extensive knowledge, networks and experience.
WHY JOIN?
EOP is an active programme – the more you put in, the more you will get out.
By joining EOP you become part of the community that supports, and is supported by, Eastside Projects. As well as free entry to talks and events, you can attend our members-only programme of critclubs, workshops, networking sessions, Away Days and online events hosted by our Kaleidoscope Network partners. You can also apply for opportunities like EOP Studio residencies, The Exchange, and Summer Camp and book in for 1-2-1 chats with Eastside Projects staff once every six months where you can talk about work in progress, ideas, applications and how do develop your practice
In addition, you will receive a weblink from our website to yours and we will share activity on the EOP instagram.
WHAT DOES IT COST?
EOP membership is open to all and costs £5 per month by standing order.
Membership is free if you have Global Majority* heritage, or if you are disabled, D/deaf, or chronically ill**.
We reserve the right to end a membership at any time if we feel a member has acted in a way that is not in line with our Code of Conduct or which does not align with our organisational values.

* Global Majority is a collective term that refers to people who are Black, Asian, Brown, dual heritage, indigenous to the global south, and or have been racialised as ethnic minorities in the UK.
** This membership is for people with complex or intersecting support needs or disabilities that have substantial and long-term adverse effects on their ability to carry out normal day-to-day activities.
HOW TO JOIN
You need to do a few things to join. Please make sure you complete all elements (1,2 & 3).

If you are entitled to free membership, you do not need to complete step 3!
1. For you to get the most out of EOP and Eastside Projects, we need to know about you and your practice – this step will take about five minutes.
2. We collect information about our members backgrounds to understand who is joining EOP, ensure our membership is diverse, and monitor whether applications for EOP opportunities reflect the makeup of our community. Please fill out our Equal Opps Survey by clicking on the button below
3. For Step 3 please select “Add to basket” below and set up your payments for your membership. This is your final step to being a member. Membership is £5 per month. If you are entitled to free membership, you do not need to complete this step!
WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?
A member of the Eastside Projects team will get in touch to say hello and welcome you into EOP. We are a small team and sometimes – particularly when we are installing shows – might be a bit slower to respond. If you don’t hear from us within two weeks of applying, drop us an email on info@eastsideprojects.org and we will check your membership is live.
