More Information:

Exhibitions, events, screenings, and performances at Eastside Projects are usually programmed* by the people who work here at least a year in advance. Our current programme means we are working with our Incidental Artists over at least 18-months to think, dream, and organise together. This means that although exhibition proposals sent to our inbox are great, most of the time we can’t move forward with them due to the fact that we are already working on as many projects as we can manage across the gallery and the offsite contexts we work in.

However we do have a variety of open calls throughout the year which are an opportunity to make proposals and share your practice and ideas, in particular we’d recommend checking out the Wheatley Fellowship (in partnership with Birmingham City University), which usually opens for applications in early summer, and our Artist Development Program EOP, where members have opportunities to exhibit in the gallery or work with us either informally during EOP SOCIAL events, as part of the EOP Summer Camp, or by making a proposal to our Annual Members Project.

We always love meeting and speaking to new artists, so if you are ever around for Digbeth First Friday, or in the gallery or at an events hosted at Eastside Projects, introduce yourself to us and let us know what you are up to!

Ruth, Gavin, Naoibh and Lucy

*By programmed we mean thought of, developed, curated and scheduled.
