Daniel Salomon (b. Copenhagen 1976) is a French-Danish artist currently based in Berlin. He often uses the universal language Esperanto as a starting point for projects exploring the power and the limits of language, cultural identity and political utopia. He recently had shows in Skulpturenpark in Berlin, Centre for Contemporary Art - Ujazdowski Castle in Warszawa, Overgaden – Institute for Contemporary Art in Copenhagen. He was awarded a fellowship at the Akademie Schloss Solitude in 2007, Arcus Projects in Japan in 2008, and will be a resident at Capacete entretenimentos in Rio de Janeiro in 2010.
