Sculptue Show is formed through the intuitive process of two artists acting as curators with each inviting artists, who they believe, test forms of sculpture as art, override theories of sculpture or collide analytical, fictional or intuitive representation of conditions that bring an artwork into being. In bringing these artists together we are interested in works that both do and do not add something to the furniture of the world by dealing with the production of an object when it has already been long proven that a sculptural object is unnecessary.

Sculpture Show presents a carefully selected set of works by a range of international artists, intended as a moment of revelry in ideas and forms, rather than an analytical examination of the current state of Sculpture (whatever that term now means). It purposefully included artworks that propose a range of possibilities, strategies or theories for the sculptural object, a meditation led by historical works by Mel Bochner, Franz West, David Medalla and Art & Language that function as contemporary provocations.

Sculpture Show is not simply about things, nor our way of acting on things, but is a reverie of category error and co-habitations of forms and ideologies.
